Gerry worked for his father as Painter, Decorator and Joiner. He was the son in F.W.Davies & Son, which was the name of the business.
Gerry married Doreen in 2.Q.1947 (ref.G.R.O.), at the Parish Church in Barrington. He then lived in a cottage facing the Church, until he moved to Rock House, Compton Road, South Petherton in 1957.
In 1974, he inherited his Auntie May's house : Market House, The Square, South Petherton.
We were told of his death by Donald Burgess, on one of our visits to Petherton, en route to France. ref. B.W.K.
