I searched for Thomas Kirk on the 1881 Census. The one I found was the correct age, born in the correct area, and was still living in the same area. Therefore this family added to Family Ties, is based on the assumption, that this is in fact the son of Job Kirk & Eliza Kirk. This would make him my Grandad, William Kirk's half brother. (B.W.K.)
